Background
- Realization of a Global Bio-Economy Education City through linkage between universities and the Education Development Special Zone Program
With the designation of pilot Education Development Special Zones (1st round: Iksan, Namwon, Wanju, Muju, Buan; 2nd round: Jeonju, Gunsan, Jeongeup, Gimje, Imsil, Sunchang), it is necessary for universities to play a central role in establishing an education-city foundation, improving conditions for local talent settlement, and creating a virtuous regional talent circulation system
- Need to improve the employment rate of graduates from vocational high schools in Jeonbuk State, particularly within the province, and to operate university-specialized programs linked with vocational high schools to support employment and long-term regional settlement
Objectives
- To foster regional talent by identifying and operating innovative university–high school linkage education models, aligned with the four major strategies and ten key tasks of the Jeonbuk State Education Development Special Zone
- To enhance graduate employment rates and regional settlement through the operation of specialized programs for vocational high schools, aligned with regional characteristics and regional development strategies
