Greetings, I am the Director of the RISE Project Group at Jeonbuk National University.

The RISE (Regional Innovation System & Education) project is a national policy initiative designed to establish a region-led innovation ecosystem and achieve sustainable regional growth by organically linking the industrial, research, and educational capacities centered around universities.
As a regional hub national university, Jeonbuk National University is participating in this project to play a pivotal role in growing together with the local community and leading the future of the region.

The Jeonbuk National University RISE Project Group is pursuing this project with the core goals of cultivating professionals connected to regional strategic industries, driving technological innovation through industry–academia–research collaboration, linking education, research, and demonstration to support youth settlement and solve regional issues, and systematically managing the university’s innovation performance.

Through these efforts, we aim to create a virtuous cycle in which the university’s educational and research achievements spread to local industries and society, while regional demands feed back into the university’s innovation.

In particular, the RISE Project Group goes beyond unit-task-based operations to plan, coordinate, and manage the project from an integrated university-wide perspective. This enhances the project’s effectiveness and sustainability, while establishing a performance creation system in which both the region and the university share responsibility.

Moving forward, the Jeonbuk National University RISE Project Group will continue to implement an innovation model in which the region and the university grow together, based on close cooperation with the local community, industry, research institutions, and local governments. We hope this homepage will serve as a platform to share the progress and achievements of the RISE project, as well as a space for communication and collaboration.
