The program is an experiential education course centered on the Jeonju-bu map, an artifact in the museum's collection. It is designed to help participants understand the history and spatial structure of Jeonju and to learn in connection with the elementary school curriculum.
Participants will examine the key spaces of Jeonju Fortress and the historical significance of Pungnammun. Through map-reading and spatial-understanding activities, they will deepen their understanding of local cultural heritage.

JBNU Conducts Comprehensive Inspection for Illegal Filming Cameras Ahead of DaedongjeJeonbuk National University (JBNU) conducted a comprehensive inspection for illegal filming cameras in the restrooms of campus buildings ahead of the Geonji Daedongje, which will be held for three days starting on the 6th.
The inspection was carried out proactively to address the potential for crime due to increased external visitors during the festival and to create an environment in which students and local residents can use campus facilities with confidence.
The inspection was conducted by S-1, which handles JBNU's integrated security, deploying specialized equipment and personnel to conduct a detailed check for the presence of illegal filming devices in restrooms.
Inspections focused on about 70 campus buildings, particularly those with high student usage or where external access was expected. The inspections confirmed that no suspicious illegal filming devices were found.

Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Wins 30th National Public University Staff Tennis TournamentJBNU demonstrated strong capability by claiming first place in the team competition at the 30th Minister of Education's Cup National Public University Staff Tennis Tournament held at Seoul National University from April 23 to 25.
The tournament began with an opening ceremony on April 23, followed by the singles on April 24 and the team competition on April 25. A total of 43 teams from 30 universities nationwide, with approximately 500 participants, competed in intense contests.
JBNU displayed outstanding performance in the team competition and captured the championship. In the quarterfinals, the team defeated Gyeongsang University 3–1 to advance smoothly to the semifinals. Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Major Allocation Following Admission Unit Consolidation 'Settles'... 82% 'Satisfied'JBNU's major allocation, implemented as part of the Glocal University 30 initiative through the consolidation of admission units, has taken root stably from the first year and has generated high satisfaction among students.
Since being selected for the Glocal University 30 initiative, JBNU has implemented academic system reforms to expand students' choice of major. The university consolidated the existing 106 admission units into 46 for 2025 and plans to further reorganize them into 31 by 2028. It also increased the allowable rate of transfers and major changes to up to 30% so that students can design their own majors and learning pathways. In particular, for the 2025 academic year JBNU led the consolidation by admitting 2,920 of the total admission quota of 4,050 students (75.9%) as undeclared majors.
